As of 8 a.m., April 10, 2022, Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and Smart have prepositioned personnel and mission-critical equipment including emergency generators in the Visayas and Mindanao as the country braces for Tropical Storm Agaton, its first tropical cyclone of the year.
PLDT group’s Libreng Tawag (free calls), Libreng Charging (free charging) stations are also on standby, ready to be deployed in areas that will be heavily impacted by the tropical cyclone. However, for the safety of our personnel, operations will only commence once #AgatonPH has passed.
PAGASA has hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over the southern portion of Eastern Samar, the southern portion of Samar, and the northeastern portion of Leyte, as well as over the northern part of Dinagat Islands. Signal No. 1 has been raised over the rest of Eastern Samar, the rest of Samar, Northern Samar, Biliran, the rest of Leyte, Southern Leyte, and the northeastern portion of Cebu including Camotes Islands in the Visayas, and over Surigao del Norte and the rest of the Dinagat Islands.
